
A water collector is a device that removes a large amount of small water droplet drift carried in the humid and hot air discharged from a cooling tower, avoids water mist pollution and freezing of the surrounding environment, saves water and protects the environment.
With the support of the research and design departments under the Ministry of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Metallurgy, and Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power, our company has developed a water collector made of polyester fiberglass and modified polyvinyl chloride for users to choose from. Among them, four types of water collectors, namely Wave 160-45, Wave 170-50, HC-130-50, and HU-50/270, were simulated and tested in industrial towers by units such as the Cooling Tower Research Institute of the Water Science Academy, Henan Electric Power Design Institute, North China Electric Power Science Research Institute, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute, and Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute. The test results showed that all four types of water collectors have the characteristics of high water collection efficiency and low ventilation resistance, reaching the advanced level of similar products at home and abroad.
At present, these types of water collectors have been widely used in mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation cooling towers in industrial sectors such as thermal power plants, steel plants, and petrochemical plants in China. Practice has proven that the collector blade design is advanced, effective, reliable in quality, easy to install, and has a long service life.
