The Agilent Zorbax Bonus RP liquid chromatography column contains polar amide groups embedded in long alkyl chains. This innovative bonding reduces the interaction between alkaline compounds and silica gel matrix, improving the peak shape of difficult to separate alkaline compounds. The peak shape was further improved and the lifespan of the chromatographic column was extended by using three end caps. In addition, the diisopropyl side group provides steric hindrance to prevent acidic hydrolysis, extending the lifespan under low pH conditions. The Bonus RP chromatographic column provides selectivity different from C18 and C8 alkyl bonded stationary phases.
