1、 Overview:
A combined air flotation machine is a type of air flotation machine designed specifically to remove solid suspended solids, oils, and various gelatinous substances from various types of wastewater. It utilizes the different solubility characteristics of water at different pressures to pressurize and aerate some of the treated water, increasing the air solubility of the water. By adding coagulants to the water and releasing them under normal pressure, air is released to form small bubbles that adhere to impurity flocs, causing the overall density of flocs to be lower than that of water and increase, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation. The equipment structure is shown in the figure: the main components include the air flotation machine body, dissolved air tank, air compressor, scraper, dissolved air release device, pipeline pump, and a set of dosing devices.
2、 Working principle:
Air is pumped into a pressure dissolved gas tank and forcibly dissolved in water at a pressure of 0.5 MPa to produce dissolved air water; At this time, the dissolved water is filled with a large number of fine bubbles. Dissolved air water enters the water to be treated through a release device. In the case of sudden release, the air dissolved in the water precipitates, forming a large number of dense microbubbles that slowly rise and adhere to impurity particles, forming a float with a specific gravity lower than water, floating on the water surface, forming floating slag, and then being removed by a scraper. Clear water is discharged through overflow regulation to achieve the goal of removing SS and CODCr.
3、 Scope of application:
In the water treatment process, solid-liquid separation technology and its equipment are one of the key projects. For the removal of small suspended particles with a density close to water, air flotation is one of the most effective methods. This device is widely used in water supply and drainage treatment projects.
1. Used for algae removal and turbidity reduction in tap water sourced from lakes;
2. Applied to industrial wastewater treatment projects, such as petrochemicals, textiles, printing and dyeing, electroplating, leather making, food industry, etc;
3. Applied to the recovery of useful substances in wastewater, such as fiber recovery in papermaking and pulp water.
