Welding bellows compensator is a type of compensator that is distinguished based on the connection end type of the compensator. There are usually two types of compensators: welding and flange connection. They are both single bellows compensators composed of a group of several corrugations or complex bellows compensators composed of two groups of several corrugations. They are a type of pipe fitting that uses the elasticity and tension of the metal bellows itself to achieve deformation. They are mainly used in various pipeline systems that require valve installation or pipeline systems with large deformation. Because all pipeline connections after the valve are in a straight and rigid environment, when the pipeline undergoes thermal expansion and contraction or other weather factors deformation, if the bellows compensator is not installed, the pipeline system is likely to be affected. Due to steel deformation causing fracture or pipeline bending, This can cause danger, so when a bellows compensator is installed on the pipeline, all deformations in the pipeline system will be transmitted to the bellows expansion joint, thereby offsetting the deformation force.

The reason for choosing welding is that after the compensator is successfully welded to the pipeline, there will never be a possibility of external leakage in the future use process, unless the bellows hanger or connecting pipe is broken. However, the performance characteristics of bellows compensators connected by flange are different. Although installation and disassembly are more convenient than welding, in the process of use, when the connecting bolts loosen or the flange deforms, the medium is likely to leak out from the connection. Therefore, for places with stricter external leakage, welded bellows compensators are usually used.
