High performance optical system, achieving unparalleled high signal-to-noise ratio

The optical system optimized with Varioskan Flash enables unlimited wavelength step selection for any detection method, achieving maximum sensitivity and a wide dynamic measurement range.

In fluorescence reading, the four monochromator and quartz fiber system minimize stray light while also minimizing optical loss, improving signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity. The optional top or bottom reading function provides more flexible selection of experimental conditions.

In colorimetric reading, the design of dual monochromators also minimizes stray light, ensuring excellent linearity and accuracy. Combined with its baseline noise suppression function, it ensures accurate results for measuring extremely low concentration samples.

When measuring chemiluminescence, a dark current quantum counting detector is used, with two standard measurement components: using a grating scanning mode to determine the optimal wavelength and optimize the measurement parameters; LumiSens high sensitivity module can provide the highest sensitivity, especially in multiple label readings.

Built in up to 3 liquid separators, capable of quickly adding liquid

For accurate and convenient allocation of reagents, up to 3 built-in dispensers can be optionally selected. The instrument supports synchronous liquid separation and measurement, and tracks the entire reaction process in real-time from the beginning of the kinetic reaction. This feature is particularly significant in flash reactions, Ca+channels, and other rapid kinetic applications.

Widely applicable, even UV fluorescence measurement can ensure results

Due to the broad wavelength range of Varioskan Flash, it is highly suitable for measurement experiments ranging from low UV ultraviolet to near-infrared. As a photometer with a low UV zone, Varioskan also has optical path calibration function, which can directly measure nucleic acid concentration and purity. In UV fluorescence assays such as measuring tryptophan or tyrosine fluorescence, which are used in fluorescence free labeling experiments, protein structural changes can be effectively detected.

Varioskan Flash has top/low read function, comes with high-precision incubator, can read various plate types, and can perform single hole multi-point scanning. Therefore, it is highly suitable for cell-based fluorescence assays.

High performance three position incubator for better control of detection conditions

The Varioskan Flash comes with a high-performance built-in incubator and a unique three position incubation system that prevents the formation of moisture beneath the porous plate cover, allowing for direct measurement of the covered porous plate.

Varioskan also comes with a ring rail oscillator that can adjust the oscillation speed and diameter arbitrarily, ensuring effective mixing and accelerating reaction speed.
