Hash's TSS Portable portable turbidity, suspended solids, and sludge interface monitoring instrument is an ideal remote monitoring tool for municipal and industrial wastewater, drinking water, and river monitoring. This instrument can be used as an optimization tool in the monitoring process, as well as a convenient method for calibrating or verifying online sensors.

We use a unique composite multi beam alternating light method with an infrared diode system, which has a wide measurement range for measuring turbidity and suspended solids.

Measurement principle:

Multiple calibration curves for easy use:
The analyzer stores four different suspension calibration curves and one turbidity calibration curve. For different usage scenarios or types of sludge, there is no need to constantly recalibrate.
Convenient measurement of sludge interface:
The measurement unit is set to mg/L, G/L or percentage can be used to measure the sludge interface. First, calibrate the instrument, and then slowly place the sensor into the sedimentation tank. When the sensor reaches the sludge interface layer, the concentration of suspended solids will significantly increase. After the sensor detects the sludge interface layer, check the meter scale on the sensor cable to determine the depth from the water surface to the sludge interface.
Bubble compensation measurement ensures higher accuracy:
The software of the instrument can automatically compensate for bubbles that affect the measurement. Turbidity is pre calibrated using the calibration curve stored in the instrument. When measuring suspended solids, since each calibration curve can be corrected using up to three measurement points and one zero point, each calibration curve can be fitted to the laboratory measurement results.
Durable material, long service life:
The sensor is made of polished stainless steel material with a scratch resistant sapphire window, which can be used in harsh environments. Polished stainless steel helps prevent particles from adhering to the surface of the probe. The memory can store up to 290 measurement values, including time, date, measurement value, measurement location, and homogeneity. There are three operating modes to choose from - single point measurement, intermittent measurement, or continuous measurement.
Powered by rechargeable batteries:
Hach's TSS Portable turbidity, suspended solids, and sludge interface monitor is powered by rechargeable batteries and can be used for up to 1 month in typical measurement mode and 4 hours in continuous measurement mode. In order to extend the usage time on site, the interval measurement mode automatically shuts down between two measurements. Can display battery status. User friendly operation menu, displayed on a direct reading LCD graphic screen.
