The piping joints used in Shimadzu gas chromatographs are mainly divided into two types: M-shaped and G-shaped.
The M-shape adopts a square sleeve with metal surfaces pressed together (metal contact type), which is used to connect the main piping inside and outside the gas chromatograph.
The G-shape adopts a square sleeve (sealing gasket type) with rubber or other sealing gaskets sandwiched in the middle and then clamped, mainly used for connecting SUS chromatography columns.
The connection method for both is the same, which involves aligning the threaded joint welded to the end of the pipe with the socket, and screwing the male thread on the socket with the female thread of the nut attached to the threaded joint. | | |
