The PQS 1 sensor is developed for precise measurement of photosynthetically active radiation and fully meets the ideal requirements for photosynthetically active radiation response. In addition, it is also designed with optional scatterers that can achieve optimal cosine correction. This instrument is perfect for continuous outdoor or indoor installation operations, such as studying crop growth in greenhouses.
Solar radiation and artificial light sources (such as high-pressure sodium lamps) are common sources of photosynthetically active radiation. PQS 1 has excellent sensitivity performance and can achieve reliable and accurate measurements without considering photosynthetically active radiation sources, which is crucial for horticultural research and plant physiological function monitoring. The installation flange contains a bubble level and several adjustment screws for easy leveling of the instrument. The screw in installation rod can be inserted into a threaded hole to form a mast. Two PQS 1 sensors can be connected with bolts facing away, and then a mounting rod can be installed to form a simple PAR albedo meter. The standard cable length is 5m, but 15m can also be selected. PQS 1 can be used in combination with METEIN handheld display screen and data recorder for on-site testing.
