design
Users can directly select the geometric shape of the tested workpiece for the detection application in the computer, and define the weld seam, probe, wedge block, and group, so as to quickly complete the preparation and setting work.
export and import
After defining the detection configuration in NDT Setup Builder, you only need to click once to export the parameters, and then import them into OmniScan MX2 and OmniScan SX flaw detectors.
detection
After importing the configuration into OmniScan MX2 and OmniScan SX flaw detectors, users can adjust the parameters and perform calibration. So far, the OmniScan MX2 and OmniScan SX flaw detectors are fully ready for testing.
Analysis and Reporting
Users can transfer detection data from the OmniScan instrument to the OmniPC software on their computer for analysis and report production. This allows the OmniScan instrument to detect another workpiece.
NDT SetupBuilder
The NDT Setup Builder design software is an essential component of Olympus' automatic and semi-automatic ultrasonic testing product line. Non destructive testing (NDT) personnel using this software can reduce the time required to define appropriate testing configurations for OmniScan flaw detectors. It can also avoid human configuration errors and ensure that the detection configuration meets the requirements of the detection specifications.

General interface
The interface of NDT Setup Builder software is based on two grids: probe settings and groups. The purpose of designing a grid based interface is to provide users with a quick and intuitive presentation of probe, wedge, position, and acoustic beam parameters.
There are also additional interfaces in the software for defining wedges and probes, as well as verifying parameters.
The wedge menu allows users to access various wedges in the Olympus database, as well as detailed wedge model characteristics including length, width, and height information. Through top view, side view, and end view, users can see the image of the selected wedge block.
Similarly, the probe interface allows users to access probes and their corresponding parameters in the Olympus database.
The management personnel of non-destructive testing can use the PC based NDT Setup Builder software to define the testing techniques and set the parameters of the ultrasonic beam for the testing they want to complete. Management personnel can define the technology to be used for testing remotely or on-site without the need for OmniScan instruments. More importantly, after defining the detection technology, the staff can import the configuration into the OmniScan MX2 and OmniScan SX instruments, saving the configuration time required before detection and avoiding potential human errors during configuration.
Composite scanning
A single group composite scan can provide coverage similar to two sector scans
The upgraded NDT Setup Builder software from Olympus now provides users with the ability to perform composite beam scanning. This innovative detection strategy combines a fan-shaped sound beam and a linear sound beam for detection. This type of scanning has many advantageous features, such as:
Higher detection rate
Detecting thicker materials
Higher detection speed
Shorter setup and calibration time
Faster data analysis
Tooltip
Placing the mouse pointer over certain items in the interface, such as tabs, toolbars, and dialog boxes, will display some explanations or tooltips on the screen. The tool tip contains clear images and explanations of related functions. The use of this software feature is very simple, even for inexperienced users.
2D and 3D image display
The sound ray tracking view illustrates the information of the workpiece, probe, wedge, and group in the form of two-dimensional or three-dimensional images. The display options include 2D side view, top view, and end view. The screen also displays information on the configuration control of interacting parameters and probe chips.
Not just a sound ray tracking tool
Export/Import Your Configuration and Group Instructions
All configurations supported by OmniScan and those created in NDT Setup Builder can be exported in the form of an. ondt setup file. NDT Setup Builder software can also be used as a focus rule calculator. Groups that are not supported by OmniScan can be exported as. raw files.
Export your configuration to a USB key or an SD card, and then import these configurations into the OmniScan instrument. After importing the configuration into the instrument, there is no need to perform configuration operations through the detection configuration menu. Just complete the calibration, and the instrument is fully ready for testing.

OmniPC
OmniPC is a PC based data analysis and reporting software with the same user interface and analysis and reporting features as the OmniScan instrument.
analysis
Now with OmniPC software, OmniScan instruments can focus on scanning operations, and users can analyze the collected data on their personal computers. This software can also be used with a large screen to improve the visibility of images, and the shortcuts on the computer keyboard make operations faster.
OmniPC software has the same user interface as OmniScan software. Users do not need to learn how to use this new software to analyze OmniScan data files.
Export C-scan
OmniPC has added a new feature for corrosion applications. Users can export the complete C-scan values to a *. txt file for future analysis. These C-scan values can be displayed in Notepad, Excel, or any other software that the user wishes to perform analysis operations on.
Use any OmniScan instrument to complete the acquisition operation.
Export the data in the form of a. txt file and analyze it in the selected software.
