Mettler pH electrode HF405-DXK-S8/120
describe
The electrode is equipped with a special pH sensitive glass film that can be measured in a medium containing HF (HF concentration can be ignored when the pH value is greater than 5).
Features and benefits
LOW MAINTENANCE
·Polymer electrolytes (electrolytes cannot be refilled or added) come into direct contact with the process medium through an open membrane. Due to the use of an open diaphragm, blockage is less likely to occur in dirty media.
Successfully conducted measurements in media containing HF
·The electrode is equipped with a special pH sensitive glass that can be measured in a medium containing HF.
High voltage resistance
·The electrode covers a large pressure range and is highly capable of withstanding fluctuations in process pressure.
1 Introduction
The above general instructions must be readily available for use by the electrode operator. Before using the electrode, all operators must read and understand the above instructions.
Due to its special characteristics, the pH/redox electrode with Xerolyt reference system is suitable for the following applications: - measurement of highly polluted solutions - measurement of lotion and suspensions
-Measurement of sewage/wastewater
-Measurement of solutions containing proteins
-Measurement of solutions with high sulfide content
-Measurement of heated alkaline solution (with HApH glass)
-The installation of Xerolyt electrodes for measurement and control circuits with large range pressure fluctuations is not suitable for the following applications:
-Measurement of electrodes for steam sterilization
-Measurement of long-term significant temperature changes
-Measurement of solutions with pH<2
-Measurement of solutions containing chlorine
2 Safety notes
Xerolt electrodes are only used for the purposes described in S1 above. Part of the electrode material is glass. If acidic or alkaline solutions are used to clean or calibrate electrodes, protective clothing (goggles and gloves) must be worn. In addition, local and internal safety regulations must be followed. We recommend using only the electrodes in conjunction with the original products/accessories provided by Mettler Toledo. The electrodes must be operated and maintained by personnel who are familiar with the relevant equipment and have read and understood this instruction manual.
