The Brooke Universal Mechanical Tester (UMT) platform has been the most comprehensive and widely used friction tester in the market since the launch of its * * model in 2000. Now, the newly designed UMT TriboLab ™ Based on multifunctional design and traditional construction, with unique modules, it has achieved more functions than ever before without any decrease in performance. In fact, UMT TriboLab offers higher speed, more torque, and better force measurement than any competitor. In addition, it also introduces powerful new features that improve efficiency and usability.
Modular driver for maximum versatility
The installation method using the brick free tool can quickly replace the drive, and users can easily install the drive and lock it in seconds. Standard drives do not require cable connections, and blind connectors on the installation ring will automatically connect fans, sensors, and other electronic devices. Each hardware component contains a Tribo ID chip. The software will ask the system, explain the chip, and 'understand' the configuration without any commands input by the operator.
High load, high-performance sensors
UMT TriboLab utilizes the latest developments in Bruker sensor technology to generate high-precision and reproducible test data. These new 'Gold Series' sensors have an industry-leading noise level of 0.02% range. The circuit has been redesigned to reduce noise to a minimum. The range of sensors has also been expanded to 11 sensors, ranging from 1 millinewton to 2 kilonewtons of force.
Easy to conduct * * testing and reporting
Through the Tribo ID chip built into the device hardware, the software automatically 'understands' the hardware configuration, and the menu only displays the currently available functions. TriboScript utilizes an icon based user interface to generate test scripts by simply dragging the icon to the workspace. Only compatible icon systems will combine them together and prompt for the required variables, such as speed or force. TriboScript also preloads many commonly used standard testing methods, such as ASTM, DIN, JIS, etc. *Afterwards, for post test analysis and reporting, simply select the data channel to be considered, and the software will synchronously display the results to * * understand what happened during the testing period.
Industry specific solutions for professional applications
Brooke utilizes the multifunctionality and modular architecture of the TriboLab platform to create "turnkey" suites for specific applications and industries. In addition to customized hardware components, these modules also contain software developed in collaboration with industry-leading manufacturers to meet customer testing standards. Brooke's industry-specific solutions include brake material screening, clutch friction material screening, HFRR testing, 3-point bending testing, and high-temperature hardness testing, among others.
