HSMT Flex Scanner

HSMT-Flex ™ Uniaxial coding inspection for circumferential welds of pipes with an outer diameter of 4.5m (114.3mm) and larger. This scanner comes with four probe holders and can accommodate up to eight probes using optional probe holders. In order to achieve the best inspection results, the installed probe can be a control array probe or a traditional ultrasonic probe.

The characteristic of this scanner is that it can bend at the center, making it suitable for smaller pipes. At the same time, it brings pressure from the spring arm in the radial direction of the pipe, achieving good wedge stability and balance data. Optional rotating probe holders can be installed outside the scanner. HSMT Flex also has a sliding side frame that allows the probe to be mounted outside the frame, providing a configuration for inspecting restricted areas such as welds between pipes and equipment.

The articulated design of the HSMT Flex scanner allows it to inspect tubes as small as 4.5 inches in outer diameter.
