Manual dual axis scanner Wing scanner
WING scanner
WING scanner is a dual axis scanner used for manual ultrasonic testing. One axis of the scanner can be bent and tightly attached to the curved surface of the measured workpiece. The WING scanner is equipped with a vacuum suction head, which is highly suitable for surface inspection of non ferromagnetic materials.
WING ™ The scanner is a single axis scanner used for manual ultrasonic inspection. A scanning axis is flexible and conforms to the curve of the tested part. The vacuum cup makes the WING scanner particularly suitable for inspecting non ferromagnetic surfaces.
Typical applications include Friction Stir Welding (FSW) and Hong Kong version, as well as aircraft fuselage delamination, cracking, and corrosion inspection.
characteristic
▪ X-Y axis with two encoding axes
▪ Axis positioning returns to the minimum.
▪ There is a vacuum cup on the flexible shaft, which facilitates installation on non ferromagnetic concave convex surfaces.
▪ Using a Venturi vacuum cup, the scanner can be used vertically or upside down (only WING scanners with a "V" shape can be used).
Attention: When using the scanner vertically or upside down, be sure to use a drawstring.
▪ A probe is suitable for UT inspection technology of conventional phased array.
▪ Can be used with OmniScan ® Or TomoScan FOCUST ™ Use of data acquisition unit instruments.
▪ There is also a manual vacuum cup type that does not require supply (WING scanner H1 type).
Flexible X-axis
▪ Very flexible surface tracking track.
▪ Encoder tracks flexible track (resolution: 20.5 steps/mm).
▪ There is a locking rod on the encoder module.
▪ There is an anti detachment ring at the end to prevent the scanner from accidentally falling off.
Elastic Y-axis
▪ A 16mm diameter hard anodized aluminum shaft with stainless steel gear rails.
▪ The aluminum shaft is mounted on a pivot to keep the probe in contact with the measured part.
▪ When the indicator disk is in use, the scanning shaft will not slide due to its own weight.
▪ There is a fully adjustable, tool free probe centering device.
▪ Scale increments: 0.5mm and 1mm.
▪ There is a locking shaft wing shaped screw.
