　The determination of trace manganese is carried out using the LMG photometric method: manganese is oxidized to form permanganate under the action of oxidants in its low valence state. The formed manganese dioxide can oxidize pale malachite green to malachite green. When using malachite buffer solution, the green color is dark blue between pH 4 and pH 5. The intensity of this blue color (absorbance) is directly proportional to the manganese concentration in the sample, at 430 nmMeasurement.
