This 3-inch diameter column laboratory flotation chamber is an ideal tool for evaluating the flotation characteristics of various coal and mineral feeds. The laboratory unit includes the following functions: electric, variable speed feed and tailing pumps, liquid level float switch for automatic control of pulp level, electric bubbler metering pump, air and water flow meters for control of bubble generator and foam washing water flow, and a variable device to speed up the feed slurry mixer to ensure proper feed conditioning. The laboratory chromatography column flotation cell is made of acrylic acid and stainless steel, and can handle various feeds. The results and operating parameters of the test sample can be directly scaled up to determine the performance and requirements of the full-size flotation cell.

The design of the obtained bubble generator system allows for cleaning or replacing internal components of the generator without interrupting the operation of the chromatographic column. The replacement of parts only requires closing the inlet and outlet valves, removing the top of the generator, dismantling and removing the worn porous tube, installing and replacing the porous tube, and reassembling. To remove any bubble distribution pipe from the tower, simply close the generator outlet valve, release the compression handle accessory, withdraw the pipe from the tower, and close the tower inlet valve before completely withdrawing the pipe.
