LOGBOX SD Data Recorder

LOGBOX SD is an 8-channel data logger that can be connected to multiple instruments simultaneously. Each input channel can convert measurement values into work measurement values. The data is stored on a standard 512MB SD memory card.

The common purpose of various measuring instruments, such as total solar radiation meters and data recorders, is to collect meteorological parameters. Due to the low passive output level of the instrument we provide, accurate data recording is required. The LOGBOX SD recorder is perfect for measuring various solar radiation and meteorological applications. All of our instruments can be easily configured with a 24 bit high-resolution differential analog input, including Pt-100 and 10K thermistor temperature sensors using our various instrument options.

Four digit inputs can be used to measure time or frequency, or as counter inputs. LOGBOX SD adopts a weatherproof enclosure with a protection level of IP65, with a wide operating temperature range between -40 ° C and+60 ° C. The design adopts the most advanced technology, so the required power is very small, only 4 built-in AA type batteries are needed to work for several months. Moreover, the power supply has a wide operating range, so solar panels and other external DC power sources can also be used.

This instrument has low power consumption, large storage capacity, wide operating temperature range, and a weather resistant casing, so it can work for several months under remote unmanned operation conditions. These features make LOGBOX SD perfectly suitable for on-site operations or complete solar monitoring stations.

LOGBOX SD comes with a user-friendly computer software that enables serial communication via RS232 for simple and fast configuration settings. All Kipp&Zonen radiometers use predefined settings that can be selected from the drop-down list. You only need to select an input range and define a calculation result to be converted into the correct working system measurement value to program any other sensor.

The time interval for data recording and storage can be set separately, and the software will also display the total storage time. The instrument has a built-in 128kB memory, which, like a 512MB SD card, is a non-volatile storage card. Even without battery power, data will still be saved in the card. The LOGBOX SD also comes with an installation bracket, which is fixed to a rod with a diameter not exceeding 50mm.
