Introduction to ITE High Resolution Test Chart Card

The ITE high-resolution test chart card YE0128 is designed for measuring and quickly (most intuitively) evaluating the transmission characteristics of high-resolution non broadcast cameras. It includes a gray background, white circles, grayscale, multi wave groups, resolution wedges with different frequencies (vertical and horizontal) and circular rings.

In the grayscale of D=0.15, the density of the four grayscale levels increases from D=0.0 to D=1.5 (contrast=40:1)

With the help of grayscale, it is possible to roughly estimate the half tone reproduction, but due to the white surrounding area, it is impossible to provide an accurate explanation.

The density of the surrounding gray area is D ≈ 0.56.

Circular diagrams allow for the evaluation of geometric shapes.

The line pattern is represented by phi (the line at each image height) to indicate resolution. To read the resolution in 'cycles', simply halve these values.

• The resolution can be visually determined by a resolution wedge at 0 °, 45 °, and 90 ° (up to 1000 lph).
• The horizontal bars at different positions on the chart display the transmission characteristic information in the intermediate frequency range (stripes).
