The P7ME device is designed specifically for size measurement functionality. It has two versions of the framework, the first version has three blind slots located inside the machine tool, which can be connected to a personal computer that activates the human-machine interface software (MHIS) through appropriate cables or one or two remote panels or point-to-point Ethernet, while the second version has three card slots on the front board. Specialized application software can be selected based on the type of measurement required during/after processing, and corresponding necessary cycles should be configured for the application software.
The two hardware interfaces of P7ME enable signal exchange through physical I/O or fieldbus. By connecting to a personal computer via Ethernet, the remote user interface can exchange information, data, and files with the machine tool, allowing all end users to ensure production and monitor the lifespan of the machine tool itself.

P7MEHaving a hardware module based on the number of measurement heads, this module must manage special applications, I/O connection types, and human-machine interface modes.
The number of connectable measuring heads ranges from 1 to 8, which can be connected to dual channel modules.
For I/O with 32 to 96 available pins, it can be configured as separate input/output signals instead of BCD/binary format input or output.
Different fieldbuses (Profibus, Interbus S, Sercos III, Profinet) can be obtained.
The panel has a 5.5-inch color or monochrome display, and the remote version comes in two formats, both with a height of 129.5 mm (3U) but slightly different widths of 482 mm (19 ') or 226 mm.
Each hardware configuration P7ME system includes an application software configuration file specifically designed for each application. To reconfigure, P7ME software can obtain a program called the "configuration program" installed inside the PC. This can manage different software applications using the same hardware, thereby limiting the number of physical parts that customers with multiple machine tools (all equipped with P7ME) must handle.
