The GDS monitoring system consists of a GDS control cabinet, on-site probes, and an upper computer, which can achieve functions such as collecting data from on-site probes and controlling on-site fans. It is displayed more intuitively through the upper computer, making it easier to observe the actual concentration on site, the fault and alarm status of on-site probes, and the operating status of fans.


1.1 Hardware composition of GDS control cabinet

The GDS control cabinet has circuit breakers, intermediate relays PLC、 Composed of switches, fuses, switch power supplies, isolation modules, etc. Among them, the PLC adopts Siemens Smart series PLC, the programming software is Smart 2.3 version, the low voltage adopts Schneider low voltage components, and the switch adopts Sko brand to ensure the normal operation and stability of the system.

The upper computer adopts the Kingview upper computer software developed by Beijing Yakong Technology Co., Ltd., using Kingview 6.55 version. The system is programmed, developed, and used on the Windows system platform, greatly improving the stability and performance of the system.

1.3 On site probes

The on-site probe mainly collects the concentration on site, transmits a 4-20mA current signal to the PLC control system, and displays it on the upper computer.

1.4 On site 4-channel instrument heads

The 4-channel instrument head mainly collects the concentration of 4-channel probes, transmits it to the PLC control system through the 485 protocol, and displays it on the upper computer.

1.5 On site fan

The on-site fan is mainly used to regulate the concentration changes in the workshop, and the concentration collected by the on-site probe is used to achieve centralized control of the fan remotely.


Technical Parameter

The GDS control cabinet collects all signals on site and transmits them to the upper computer through Ethernet for display. The GDS control cabinet data enters the isolation module in a 4-20Ma current input mode, and then enters the PLC system through the isolation module. The corresponding actual values on site are obtained through conversion and calculation. The data from other workshops is transmitted through probes into four instrument heads, and then transmitted to the GDS control cabinet via 485 line, and then transmitted to the upper computer via Ethernet.

Each probe is a three wire sensor that transmits current to the GDS cabinet through a signal line. Taking probe 1 as an example, the probe is divided into three wires: the positive pole of the power supply, the negative pole of the power supply, and the signal wire. The probe wire enters the GDS cabinet and is connected to the corresponding position. Among them, the positive pole of the power supply is connected to 24V of the GDS control cabinet, the negative pole of the power supply is connected to 0V of the GDS control cabinet, and the signal line is connected to the 001 line in the GDS control cabinet. The wiring method for 60 probe wires is consistent.

The signals from other workshops are transmitted through 485 lines, which means that a shielded twisted pair cable can be used to connect 485A and 485B from a single workshop to the GDS control cabinet. At the same time, the communication addresses of the four instrument heads can be set. Communication parameters: baud rate of 4800, no checksum, one stop bit, device address set according to actual situation, ranging from 1 to 53, and each communication address must be unique.

The control signal of the fan is provided by the GDS control cabinet as a passive control signal, with two wires corresponding to each fan. The GDS control cabinet only controls the start and stop of the fan and does not provide power.

A network cable is required to establish normal communication between the upper computer and the GDS control cabinet.
