2、 Product Features
1. This instrument uses an ozone free quartz tube type medium pressure mercury vapor arc lamp as the radiation source to irradiate laminated glass, in order to determine whether there will be significant discoloration or a decrease in transmittance of the glass after a period of irradiation.
2. This instrument consists of a power supply, ultraviolet lamp, sample tank, motor, reducer, control circuit, etc. The ultraviolet lamp is vertically placed on the vertical axis of the sample barrel inside the instrument. The sample barrel is driven by a motor and a reducer to rotate around the vertical axis. The sample is placed on the inner wall of the sample barrel to obtain uniform radiation illumination through the rotation of the sample barrel. The control circuit controls the irradiation time and the temperature inside the instrument cavity to meet the test requirements.
3、 Operation method
1. Clean the sample, first test the transmittance of the sample according to the GB5137.2 method, then place the sample into the sample barrel of this testing instrument and close the sample compartment door.
2. Adjust the time and temperature regulators on the control panel together, set the irradiation time and sample test temperature.
3. Connect the instrument power supply, press the "Power" button, and turn on the main power switch of the instrument.
4. Press the "UV Lamp" button to turn on the UV lamp tube.
5. Press the "Sample Bucket" button to start rotating the sample bucket.
6. Press the "Temperature" button to activate the temperature control function. When the temperature inside the chamber exceeds the set temperature, the axial flow fan at the top of the instrument automatically starts to dissipate heat, in order to achieve constant temperature.
7. Press the "timer" button to start timing. When the running time reaches the preset time, all work will be stopped, and only the main power supply will be kept in the on standby state.
8. Press the "Power" button to turn off the instrument.
9. Open the sample compartment door, take out the sample, and test the transmittance of the irradiated sample
4、 Precautions
1. Due to the high power of the ultraviolet lamp, the power transformer of this instrument will generate high temperatures. The machine has been designed with an air duct for the transformer to dissipate heat. Therefore, when the instrument is placed indoors, it should be kept 20cm away from the wall for heat dissipation.
2. Transformers have magnetic saturation characteristics, so it takes a few minutes to turn off the UV lamp and then turn it back on, otherwise the UV lamp cannot be turned on.
