1. Power line carrier control: It uses power lines to transmit signals, and switches need to be equipped with encoders, which can be affected by power line noise interference, making the operation very unstable and often causing switch loss of control. Advantages: Low price, easy to accept.

2. Wireless radio frequency control: It uses radio frequency to transmit signals, and the switch is often affected by radio wave interference, making its frequency stable and easy to lose control. The operation is very complicated and the price is also high. This type of switch requires the addition of a neutral wire to achieve multi control and mutual control effects. Advantages: Low price, easily accepted by the public.

3. Bus control: It uses fieldbus to transmit signals, connecting bus panels through fieldbus to achieve communication and control signal transmission. Its stability and anti-interference ability are relatively strong. The earliest bus used a centralized bus structure, where all wires were centralized on a central control gateway or controller, and then signal lines were divided from this position to each switch position. This resulted in poor wiring system safety, central controller paralysis, and could affect the entire operation. The advantages of distributed fieldbus system are: good safety, no impact on the operation of other points due to a single point failure, strong stability and anti-interference ability, signal transmission through dedicated signal lines, achieving mutual communication between switches. But the traditional wiring method needs to be changed. The intelligent panel at each position can achieve multiple functions such as multi-point control, overall control, group control, point-to-point control, etc.

4. Single wire control: It is a wireless communication similar to GSM technology, with built-in transmission and reception modules, single wire input, and wiring methods similar to traditional switches, making installation convenient. Disadvantage: Unable to implement network control switch operation.
