Simplify inspection and testing
MicroScannerTMThe Cable Validator series simplifies the testing of audio, data, and video cables. It first obtains results from four testing modes and is able to display all of the following on the same screen - graphical wiring diagram, wire pair length, distance to fault point, cable ID, and remote device. Moreover, it supports almost any type of low-voltage cable testing without the need for bulky adapters. *The ultimate result is a reduction in testing time and technical errors, allowing for more efficient and high-quality installations than before.
Quickly troubleshoot service issues
Today's communication technicians have many issues to deal with, not just cable problems. Before determining the cause of the connection issue, possible cable and service problems must be ruled out first. The MicroScanner Cable Validator series can solve this problem and reduce troubleshooting time. Is there telephone voltage available? What is polarity? Is there an Ethernet switch at the remote end? Is PoE available? If PoE is available, is it sufficient to run my device? MicroScanner can identify these issues, providing powerful insights for technicians to validate today's most common voice, data, and video services. This means faster and more efficient troubleshooting.

Tested cable type
Twisted pair cables: UTP, FTP, SSTP
Coaxial (MicroScanner2): 75 Ω, 50 Ω, 93 Ω
Length testing
Range: 460 m (1500 ft)
Resolution: 0.3 m (1 ft)
Typical accuracy: ± 4% or 0.6 m (2 ft), whichever is greater. NVP uncertainty is an additional error.
Calibration: Users can set the NVP (MicroScanner2) for twisted pair and coaxial cables. Can measure the actual NVP of cables of known length.
Wiring diagram testing
Detect single line faults, short circuits, incorrect wiring, split wire pairs, and an additional seven remote adapter IDs. The wiring diagram is drawn proportionally in length to visually display the approximate location of the fault.
Ethernet port detection
MicroScanner2Detect the design speed of 802.3 Ethernet ports using speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps. MicroScanner PoE: Detect the design speed of 802.3 Ethernet using speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps.
Audio generator
Support audio generation and the use of Fluke Network Digital IntelliTone ™ Probe for cable mapping. Generate four types of audio compatible with typical analog probes. When using IntelliTone or analog probes, Smartone ™ The function can correctly identify the cables in the cable bundle.
