Product details

Comet fiber filter material is a new type of filter material that is developed based on bundled fiber balls and is not easily dispersed. It has the advantages of high filtration accuracy and large interception capacity of fiber filter media, as well as high backwash cleanliness and low water consumption of particle filter media. The pore distribution of the filter bed formed by this filter media is close to the structure of ideal filter media. The uniform distribution of air gap rate in the cross section (horizontal) of the filter bed ensures the consistency of the size of the water flow channel during filtration, which directly results in uniform interception of pollutants and avoids the phenomenon of water flow short circuit. The distribution of porosity in the vertical section of the filter bed gradually decreases from top to bottom, and the porosity is captured and trapped along the filter bed. During filtration, the comet nucleus with a higher specific gravity plays a role in compacting the fiber bundle. At the same time, due to the smaller size of the comet nucleus, the longitudinal distribution of the filtration section gap shows a gradient distribution with a larger upper part and a smaller lower part. This structure is very conducive to the effective separation of suspended solids in water, that is, the particles detached from the upper part of the filter bed are easily affected by the uniformity of the narrow channel in the lower part, thereby improving the interception capacity of the filter bed. During backwashing, due to the difference in specific gravity between the comet nucleus and the comet tail fiber bundle, the comet tail fibers disperse and oscillate with the backwashing water flow, generating strong drag force. The collision between filter media also intensifies the mechanical force on the fibers in water. The irregular shape of the filter media causes the filter to rotate under the backwashing water flow, and its service life is 1-2 times longer than that of ordinary fiber balls, making it less prone to dispersion, higher filtration accuracy, and easier backwashing!
