Titanium is only suitable for low concentration sulfuric acid environments with relatively low temperatures, and 40% concentration sulfuric acid will react with titanium. 1% hydrofluoric acid can undergo intense reactions with titanium. The application of titanium is also quite extensive. Compared to aluminum fans, aluminum is much better in acid resistant gas corrosion materials at higher temperatures. But aluminum is not alkali resistant. Corrosion resistance. Titanium has excellent heat resistance, with a melting point of up to 1668 degrees Celsius. Its hardness is better than stainless steel, and its strength is three times that of stainless steel. At room temperature, titanium can lie safely in solutions of various strong acids (sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid) and strong bases, and aqua regia cannot corrode it.
Hastelloy B-2 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in various reducing media, and can withstand corrosion at any temperature and concentration of hydrochloric acid under normal pressure. It has excellent corrosion resistance in non oxidizing sulfuric acid of moderate concentration without inflation, various concentrations of phosphoric acid, organic acids such as high-temperature acetic acid, formic acid, bromate, and hydrogen chloride gas. At the same time, it is also resistant to corrosion by halogen catalysts.
Monel alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and their derivatives. Acid medium: M400 is corrosion-resistant in sulfuric acid with a concentration of less than 85%. M400 is one of the few important materials that can withstand hydrofluoric acid. Water corrosion: M400 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in most cases of water corrosion, and pitting corrosion, stress corrosion, etc. are rarely found. The corrosion rate is less than 0.025mm/a. High temperature corrosion: M400 works continuously at high temperatures around 600 ° C in air, and the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a in high-temperature steam. Ammonia: Due to the high nickel content of Monel 400 alloy, it can withstand corrosion under anhydrous ammonia and ammoniation conditions below 585 ° C.
Inconel alloy is easy to process, with high tensile strength, fatigue strength, creep resistance, and fracture strength at 700 ° C, high oxidation resistance at 1000 ° C, stable chemical properties at low temperatures, good welding performance, and metallographic structure
