1、 Purpose of alcohol precipitation tank:
Alcohol precipitation tank (alcohol precipitation tank) belongs to a type of settling solid-liquid separation equipment, which is a specialized equipment for the alcohol precipitation process in traditional Chinese medicine factories. It is mainly used for the operation of solid or liquid layer precipitation of traditional Chinese medicine extract using low temperature or room temperature. After extracting traditional Chinese medicine, the concentrated solution is used to remove non alcohol soluble starch, protein, etc. It is prepared by adding alcohol to form a liquid with a certain alcohol content, and then subjected to low-temperature freezing and sedimentation for solid-liquid separation, in order to improve the alcohol content and clarity of the traditional Chinese medicine extract, thereby enhancing product quality. At the same time, this equipment is suitable for the process operation of low-temperature or room temperature precipitation and solid-liquid phase separation of suspensions in other industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, oral liquids, health products, and chemicals.
2、 Structure and characteristics of alcohol precipitation tank:

The insulation jacket can maintain low temperature inside the tank for a long time, effectively saving energy consumption. 3、 Working principle of alcohol precipitation tank:
According to the process requirements, Chinese medicine concentrate and alcohol are added in their respective proportions, and frozen saline water (or cooling water) is turned on to stir and mix evenly. After reaching the required temperature of the material liquid, stirring is stopped, and frozen saline water is continued to be introduced into the jacket to ensure the required liquid temperature. After the sedimentation is completed, open the supernatant discharge valve and use a pump to extract the supernatant. Due to the installation of a floating ball type liquid outlet, the liquid level gradually decreases with the supernatant, and the floating ball also decreases with the liquid level. After the supernatant is fully extracted, as the density of the turbid liquid is much higher than that of the supernatant, the floating ball floats on the surface of the sediment and no longer descends, and the liquid outlet automatically stops discharging. At this point, the slag outlet can be opened to discharge the sediment. For sediment that may clump (such as starch) and cause poor slag discharge, heating steam can be introduced into the sediment to soften it and discharge the slag. Clean the inner wall of the tank with water after the sediment is drained, and close the discharge valve.
If there is a large amount of liquid to be processed at once and the capacity of one alcohol settling tank is insufficient to complete the corresponding work, one or more static tanks can be equipped. After stirring the alcohol and concentrated medicine in the alcohol settling tank according to the process, they are sucked into the settling tank by a self-priming pump. The static tank also has a jacket and a floating ball type liquid outlet, which can cool, precipitate and discharge the mixed liquid. (Using one mixing tank to configure multiple static tanks, this process not only saves energy but also reduces investment. Due to the short mixing time and long static time of the alcohol precipitation process, the mixer is mostly idle.). The precipitation time of settling liquid separation (i.e. alcohol precipitation) is directly related to the liquid temperature inside the tank.
4、 Main features of alcohol precipitation tank:
1. The built-in automatic liquid discharge float ball can reduce the labor intensity of workers and automatically complete the liquid discharge process;
2. Sediments and flocculent substances can be controlled from being extracted through the liquid outlet sight glass;
3. The conical bottom is equipped with a tangent steam pipeline, which can soften the sediment by introducing heating steam, facilitate the discharge of sediment, and accelerate work efficiency;
